Job Description:
ClearBlue is hiring a People & Culture Associate for a 10-month maternity leave contract. This full-time role is based three days a week in our Toronto office. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our employee experience, driving people operations, and executing core HR initiatives. You’ll work closely with our COO/President and business unit leaders to ensure our team is supported, engaged, and set up for success during a period of exciting growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR inquiries
  • Coordinate and support cyclical people programs like performance reviews, engagement surveys, and compensation planning
  • Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance across Canada, Colombia, and the Netherlands
  • Facilitate benefits administration and liaise with benefit providers as needed
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support hiring coordination and onboarding
  • Prepare HR communications, contracts, and documentation including policies and internal updates
  • Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, engagement)
  • Contribute to team-building, DEIB initiatives, and employee recognition programs
  • Support ad hoc projects and the broader People team during the leave period

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in a People Operations or HR Generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment standards (Canada required; international experience is a plus)
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and high professional integrity
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Humi, or similar)
  • Collaborative and people-first mindset
